Here at Harris Water Main & Sewer we pride ourselves on keeping both the family name and family traditions alive. In the late 1970’s Paul Harris had his first grandchild (Adam). Paul was extremely happy about the birth of Adam; he wanted to show the world how proud he was to be a grandfather. After brainstorming with his 3 daughters, they all concluded it would be a great idea to paint his name on the front of the Harris trucks. Shortly after Adam, his daughter Laurie had a daughter by the name of Cara. Paul wasted no time and had her name painted on the front of each truck within 1 week of her birth. Before he knew it, 7 years had passed and Paul had a total of 7 names on the front of each of his trucks.
In May of 2012, Steven Kogel (son in-law of Paul Harris) had his first grandchild and thought it was only right that he keep the Harris tradition alive! Steven had recently purchased a new backhoe, utility van and truck for one of his sewer crews and without hesitation; he had his grandsons name painted on the front of the truck.
