Installing or repairing the sewer line at a property in NYC tends to be a big job and most owners are not sure what to expect. For this reason we thought it was a good idea to put together a video in hopes to assist property owners in understanding each step within the process.
It is important to understand that each sewer repair may differ from the next pending the layout of your home, depth of the city sewer in the roadway and the overall layout of your existing sewer line in conjunction with the city sewer.
It is also important to understand that the sewer installation must be completed by a NYC licensed master plumber, installing a new sewer line below ground requires expertise and is not to be performed by your “internal plumber”. Sub surface water main and sewer installations must be performed by a licensed specialist who has experience excavating to install pipes, and is able to obtain city inspections when required.
There are several other variables to be mindful of when replacing your sewer line, it is suggested to obtain an on site visit to review all details specific to your property and at this time ask any open questions you may have.
