A note about sub-contracting
There are a very select few firms throughout the five boroughs who are equipped and capable of handling a water main or sewer repair or replacement. However, there are many “plumbers” who will advertise for this exact type of work, sign a contract with a homeowner and sub the work out to one of the licensed, bonded and insured plumbing firms. It is in all homeowners’ best interest to do their due diligence before hiring a plumber and to make sure they are not paying a premium for the middle man acting as the licensed plumber.
